I had originally posted it with her name on, but once she saw it was getting some heat, she replied with what could be considered an apology. What's concerning about this apology is not the fact that there is no ownership of responsibility, it's the motivation behind it.
"i'm not a horrible person i promise!!"
Worrying about our appearance seems to be overshadowing the importance of how we treat others.
It's never appropriate to tell someone to go kill them self.
You never know who you are talking to.

This also raised a current issue with gender double standards.
All too often, articles like '21 Men On Tinder' by buzzfeed readily shame men for inappropriate comments.
You'll be pushed to find any such article on buzzfeed, let alone the internet which remind women that they are equally accountable.
Regardless of gender, you're dealing with human emotion. Just take care and be accountable to your words.
